The $6 DIFFERENCE!

Below is a post from Rich and Michelle Franzen in South Africa. Please consider the need as listed below. Winter is quickly approaching in this country and the need for a warm blanket is urgent.

More about this endeavor....
The weather is quickly changing here in the southern hemisphere and soon bone-chilling winter temps will roll in.

For the past two years, May has been an extremely cold month kicking off the winter season. With this in mind we want to share with you an inexpensive yet tangible opportunity to help many during our winter months.

For those we minister to living in the squatter camps, housed in metal and cardboard shacks, the winters bring harsh realities. Last year numbers soared into the hundreds of people freezing to death. Men dressed in shorts huddled around an outdoor fire and children snuggled close in an attempt to keep warm are common sights during these next few months.

The past two years in an effort to combat these realities and help bring some warmth we passed out thick, wool blankets with the overseas teams canvassing the squatter camps. Last year we were able to warm more than 1,000 women, children, the sick and elderly with such blankets.

During the months of June-August, we will have 150 short-term participants ministering with us in these poverty stricken areas. In addition to sharing the Message of hope with them, we would like to utilize the groups to hand out blankets similar to those we have purchased in the past.

One wool blanket costs approximately $6.00 and our goal is to pass out 1,000 beginning in June! Would you please consider partnering in this opportunity and share it with others?

We understand times are tough right now but most can give $6, $12, or $24! 350 Blankets have been purchased
650 More People to be Blanketed

If you would like to contribute toward our goal of blanketing 1000 people by June 1, you can do so by clicking here and remember to enter the code "blankets" so we can track our progress. $6 will purchase one warm, wool blanket.

Check back to track the blanketing progress.
Help us share God’s love with the African people in a very tangible (and perhaps life-saving) way. Give securely online at http://www.impactafrica.org/. Please use the code: ‘blankets’ when giving so we can track our progress.
