I heard on the news that Simon Cowell of American Idol wants to be frozen when he dies...guess he wants to insult people hundreds of years from now too - LOL! Anyway, Cowell believes that technology is developing that will allow his body to be frrozen now so that he would be able to be resurrected in the next century.
It's amazing to me that there are so many people in the world that are worried about coming back to life. I mean let us be serious for one second. Who want want to come back to life on this earth in 100 years? It's bad enough now, can you even imagine what it would be like in another century?
It seems people will go to great lengths to avoid accepting the ONE thing that can bring them everlasting life. I understand that man has been inventing ways since the dawn of age that they believe will lead to eternal life or even another life and then another life. Why is it that we try to put our hopes in technology or science or OURSELVES so that we can maintain life or have everlasting life and yet we completely reject the only HOPE that we do have and that is in trusting and believing in Jesus. Yes He died and then He rose again so that when we that put our faith in Him can live AGAIN (after we die) with Him in heaven. Perhaps mankind believes that it's just too easy to do this. Perhaps we think that it can't REALLY be that simple? So we make up stupid stuff and go to complicated means so that we can have a false sense of peace in OURSELVES and our own abilities? I don't know?
The world rejects Christ and yet we embrace being frozen so that we can live again. It's sad that our world is so exceedingly blinded by the lies and deception of the enemy. Since the days of Eve, people have been in a mindset of unbelief that God is who His Word says He is. We really don't trust HIM to save us and free us from our sin, instead WE in our super-human minds believe that you have to pay priests for forgiveness or go up and down a set of steps on our knees like Luther so we can "make up" for our sins. And so believe that it is your own good deeds and works that will save you...it's Christ + nothing that sets us free, saves us from our sins, and ensures that we can be in heaven with Him for eternity. Put away your ice chambers Simon and put your faith in trust in the only one who can set us free!
What's really sad is that either way we perish.

Eventually we all face God. Being frozen is only a temporary fix (if it works) why not be born again?

This statement has been used by several people that I have had conversations with about Christ, they are convinced that the story of our Savior is just a story, one that was "invented" to grant people a way to eternal life. We as Christians must do everything we can to dispel the thought of Christ as a myth and show non-believers that He is the only way to Salvation. I myself am a poor man at dispelling this myth, but I will keep trying! The Truth Shall Set US FREE!
